Our client, a global manufacturing company, seeks an Information Technology Desktop Support Specialist to provide for applications, systems, and infrastructure. As the sole IT person onsite, this role will involve collaborating with a global IT team to provide support. This is a full-time, indefinite contract position with no end date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Desktop Support of Windows PCs in the office and production environment
- Assist with troubleshooting network switches, Wi-Fi access points, printers, copiers, and PCs.
- Install and support local applications.
- Utilize the ServiceNow ticket system to track and manage support cases.
- Assist with the deployment of network hardware.
- Participate in Global IT projects (e.g., server system refreshes)
- Interact with plant managers, production engineers, and process owners.
- Act as a local point of contact for on-site IT questions
- Maintain and troubleshoot A/V meeting and conferencing equipment.
- Develop and maintain documentation on instructions, processes, and asset lists.
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of hands-on IT support experience
· A+ Certification or equivalent training
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365
· Knowledge of Network fundamentals.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong client relationship management
· Ability to set priorities for projects and daily support activities.
· Experience working in a large corporate environment.
· Experience supporting a production/distribution environment.
Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
