Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of our human resources (HR) functions and employee engagement strategies. The primary responsibilities of this role will be talent acquisition and talent management, human resources management, and shaping organizational culture. The successful candidate will be supremely organized and detail-oriented with good proactive instincts for how best to be of assistance in a fast-moving and rapidly changing environment. They must be flexible, quick to learn, be able to anticipate the needs of both individuals and the organization and improve systems/processes that support the entire organization.
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition

Manage internal and external job announcements, in collaboration with Communications team

In collaboration with the Director, Human Resources, assist with sourcing candidates, conducting prescreens calls, and scheduling candidate interviews and job assessments for assigned positions

Initiate education verification, reference check and background investigations using employment screening services vendor

Manage the new employee orientation; process and quality-check all new hire paperwork
Talent Management

Responsible for administration of performance management lifecycle in HRIS

Oversee Internship and Federal Work Study programs; (application process, interview and selection process, and onboarding)

Manage employee offboarding, ensure all documentation is accurate and complete, communicate to all appropriate departments, and remove from all data systems; completes exit interviews

Serve as liaison between human resources, operations and accounting teams

Provide support for employee engagement activities to foster a culture of inclusiveness (e.g., events, training and professional development, surveys on employee satisfaction, etc.)

Reinforce company culture and work to support a positive work environment and morale among staff

Maintains confidentiality and security of all employee and proprietary company information; escalates issues as needed to Director, Human Resources

Manage and maintain all employee files in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices for a remote team (e.g., I-9, FMLA, etc.)

Human Resources

Administrator of HRIS, troubleshoot problems, make system improvements as needed, resource to colleagues

Provide back-up support for benefits administration

Manage messages and triage inquiries of human resources dedicated email inbox

Complete monthly reconciliation and submit invoices
Requirements:
- 5 + years of progressive human resources experience
-
Intermediate knowledge and experience working in HRIS, preferably with Paylocity

Demonstrated understanding of federal and local employment laws

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail

Strong professional ethics and sensitivity in dealing with confidential information; ability to use tact and diplomacy

Passionate and knowledgeable about diversity, equity, and inclusion and how to apply those principles to operations strategy and program initiatives

Ability to analyze problems, gather pertinent data, and recommend solutions

Strong organizational skills are required to meet recurring deadlines and maintain tracking systems related to human resource and recruiting information

Ability to maintain composure and good judgment when meeting deadlines, dissatisfied employees, or fast paced environment

Sabin’s philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased, equitable, and competitive compensation and benefits. Using benchmarking and salary survey data, the starting annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $85,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, certifications/degree.
