Ambassador Chemical is an environmental brokerage specializing in finding reuse, resale and recycling options for excess chemical inventories, byproducts and spent materials. We are currently hiring for a full time Inside Sales Account Manager at our Stow, Ohio location.

We currently have a strong presence across the Eastern and Central United states, providing services to a broad range of industries including chemical, industrial, consumer products, metals processing, and food and beverage industries.
Our other service offerings include: waste brokering of non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials and specialized waste transportation including hazmat and hazardous waste hauling.
The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for creating value and resolutions for our customers by presenting service offerings and developing appropriate solutions for their needs. This position coordinates with customers, recycling vendors and chemical buyers across various industries. As an account manager, you will be the customers single point of contact for end-to-end management of each account.
This is considered an experienced position requiring highly technical knowledge – this is not an entry-level position. Prior experience as a chemical, waste, or recycling sales representative, facility supervisor or manager, environmental engineer, or field service technician within the industry is highly recommended.
Essential Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Receive warm leads from company sales pipeline
- Generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Contact customers via e-mail, cold calling, or site visits to present company’s services offerings.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Manage and update the CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date client information.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Work directly with clients to complete job and waste stream discovery processes.
- Complete waste profiles and coordinate sampling and analysis to meet client needs.
Quotation Preparation:
- Prepare and provide quotes to clients for various services and projects.
Vendor and Disposal Research:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recycling processes, technologies, and regulations.
- Research and identify suitable vendors and disposal outlets to support client requirements.
Job Management and Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate jobs internally with dispatch teams.
- Ensure the completion of all safety and job-related paperwork.
- Participate in billing complex jobs as required
Essential Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer service.
- Think ahead and monitor projects closely to prevent safety violations, cost over-runs, or other errors
- Work independently to complete projects, make decisions to ensure the job is completed efficiently and safely.
- Read and understand laws, regulations, and guidelines that apply to transportation, recycling, and disposal activities.
- This position will occasionally participate in site visits, sample collection and materials identification.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Familiarity with chemical recycling processes, environmental regulations, and sustainable practices.
- Knowledge of DOT, RCRA,TSCA, Waste Codes, Hazardous and Hazmat Waste management
- OSHA certification preferred
Travel Required: Local Travel Required to Customer Sites – up to 10% of the time
· Overnight Travel up to 2 nights per quarter to Headquarters (for remote workers)
Essential Physical Requirements:
- This position is based in an office environment with regular interaction with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
- Bending, kneeling, and stooping may be required on occasion.
