Job Summary
Arizona Country Club’s Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the club’s signature restaurant Outpost ’46. In addition, they will run the whole club’s beverage program. They will ensure a high standard of hospitality, service, and appearance throughout the food and beverage operation. The ideal candidate shall thrive in a dynamic team-centric environment with a keen eye for supervision and the ability to train front-of-house service staff. Embracing a positive culture with a can-do mentality will be essential. This person will also have excellence in beverage management's operational and creative aspects. The role demands a forward-thinking leader committed to maintaining the highest quality service standards. They need to be adept in menu innovation and team leadership while also being passionate about enhancing the overall food and beverage experience.
Key Responsibilities

Quality and Service Management: Manage all aspects of food and beverage service to maintain consistently high standards of quality and service across the club.

Service Excellence: Uphold and enhance the club's high standards of beverage quality and member service through effective management.

Requisition and Inventory Control: Work with purchasing manager and assist with the beverage requisition and inventory procedures to ensure accurate, efficient ordering and distribution to various outlets.

Menu Development: Articulate overall vision for club beverage program. Guide outlet’s beverage menu development, aiming for club-wide consistency in product and service. This includes assisting with pricing wines and beverages for restaurant and banquet event offerings.

Inventory Assistance: Play a key role in managing beer, wine, and liquor inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and variety for club operations. Manage COGS and maintain budget goals.

Wine Leadership: Direct wine activities, including organizing wine tastings, coordinating quarterly wine dinners, and managing member billing related to events.
- Ensuring timely delivery of food and beverage offerings in a friendly and efficient manner.

Delivering a consistently positive dining experience.

Collaborate and coordinate with Banquets and Events Manager on related items.

Works in a positive collaborate fashion with management and staff to ensure overall standards of food and beverage service are consistently being delivered upon.

Hire, train and coach front of house staff including servers, server assistants and bartenders.

Ensure policies and procedures are being followed and adhered to including appearance, uniforms, hygiene, set up, and break down.

Assist in developing staff training manuals and programs.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with members and staff in all departments.

Orchestrates dining room floor plans and seating while assigning staff sections.

Plans and hosts pre-service meetings.

Takes corrective action when necessary to allow for teaching moments and increased operational efficiency and excellence.

Inspects dining areas before meal service beginning and after ending.

Develops sound opening and closing procedures to reflect a high experience standard.

All other tasks assigned by the director.
Candidate Qualifications
-
3-5 years managing multi-outlet food and beverage operations within a country club environment is preferred.

Proven track record in beverage management within a high-end or luxury hospitality setting.
-
Strong familiarity with budget management, inventory controls, and menu development.

Exceptional leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and train a team to strict standards.
-
Passionate about following wine and beverage trends, with a desire to create engaging and relevant member experiences.
Physical Requirements:
-
Capable of standing and moving for extended periods during shifts.
-
Able to lift and carry stock weighing up to 55 pounds.
Certification:
-
TIPS Trainer certification required
-
WSET Level 1, or Completion of Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Exam required
-
WSET Level 2, or Court of Master Sommeliers Level 2 preferred.
- Education: A college degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is advantageous and highly preferred
