Total MD, a Total Care Organization offering comprehensive healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated Records Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Total Care Organization, we provide a wide range of medical services including family medicine, urgent care, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, chiropractic medicine, and more. The Records Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring seamless operations within our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safeguarding client records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Receive and process requests for client health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
- Assist colleague with additional work duties.
- Follow application of medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure.
- Responsible for managing client health records.
- Ensures medical records are assembled in standard order and are accurate and complete.
- Creates digital images of paperwork/medical record.
- Responds to requests for client records by external sources
- Transition of requests to the appropriate source.
- Answering of inbound/outbound calls.
- Must meet productivity expectations in a timely matter.
Position Summary:
- The Medical Records Specialist will verify and organize medical records as well as execute the appropriate follow up procedures. They should be proficient in excel, be able to verify that there are no discrepancies within documents, and have both great verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, professional, and has a genuine desire to meet the needs of others. Requirements & Skills:
- Full-time, 8:00am to 5:00pm, M-F
- Strong and clear phone presence
- Experience using computers and performing data-entry functions
