Position Summary
This role provides oversight for our Foster Care programing with a specialized focus on Traditional Foster Care. This position has an emphasis on community relations, outreach and program development. This role is a good fit for someone who is excited about community connections, program growth and can provide oversight of state licensing standards.

Essential Functions
- Understand the overall concept, mission, and values of EVOLVE.
- Lead role in Traditional Foster Care, including developing and supervising programming provided to traditional / non-relative foster families and youth in the child protection system.
- Community outreach and engagement with potential foster families and other community organizations.
- Oversight of Foster Care department including staff supervision, agency education, hiring and onboarding of staff, managing licensing regulation, investigations, reviewing studies, and other program needs.
- Co-facilitate bi-weekly department meetings and case consultations.
- Maintain small caseload of foster families, conducting home studies, home visits, updates, case management and placement support,
- Work collaboratively with the Foster Care Program Director on quality assurance and program development
- Manage escalated client situations and refer to Foster Care Program Director, as needed
- Every 6 months, set 2 personal goals for growth in Diversity Equity Inclusion work, and share progress.
- Participate in monthly discussions or learnings about Diversity Equity Inclusion topics at team meetings.

Desired Experience & Characteristics
This person must have at least 2 years’ experience in social services, foster care, or child-welfare. Prior leadership or management experience preferred. Social work degree and licensure OR equivalent professional experience desired. This person must be able to pass a background check and FBI clearance check, and must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Work Environment
This hybrid role is for a Minnesota or Wisconsin based employee who can reliably commute to Oak Park Heights, MN. The EVOLVE workspace is a shared office space in close proximity to other department peers. The EVOLVE office is a pet-friendly workplace. All employees are provided with a laptop to work from home, provided the employee maintains high-speed internet and cell phone service. Your home workspace must be conducive to performing your role. Whether at home, or at the office, this role requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk, while utilizing a computer to complete work. This role requires a minimum of two days per week in the office. The hours of this role typically fall between 8:30am-5:30pm with some evening hours required to meet families, as well as some weekend availability for agency education and outreach events.
