Pest Management Professional (Technician)

Supervisor, Vice President & President of Environ Control, Inc.
Job purpose
We are looking for a motivated, responsible and resourceful person with a passion for helping others.
Your role will be to conduct inspections &/or treat properties for targeted pests. To communicate with homeowners and then the office and field personnel on steps to take to ensure targeted pests are under control.
Duties and responsibilities
- Each PMP is assigned a vehicle. Maintenance & safe keeping of the vehicle is the responsibility of the PMP.
- Conducting inspections of customer’s properties (residential & commercial)
- Correcting termite/pest control problems by applying product, baiting, monitoring and communicating with the customer, office & field personnel.
- Must have a genuine desire to learn insect& pest biology, exclusion methods and techniques to maintain control of pests on a customer’s site.
- Each PMP must also be knowledgeable in learning how to get around the island. With over 800 sites that we service, this individual will need to know/learn how to navigate a road map. Then find the correct house/business.
- Time Management is also a must. Each PMP must also be on time and be able to make scheduled times. The PMP is required to make all scheduled times.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D
- Good Communication Skills
- A genuine desire to learn the pest control business.
- Pass a respirator fitness test
- Drive a standard shift vehicle
- Clean Driver's Abstract
Working conditions
Special working conditions: Outdoor work, Work safely with chemicals. Must be able to use a respirator.
Physical requirements
A physically demanding job: PMP’s inspect &/or treat 10-20 houses/structures per day. Doing various tasks. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
