Specific Responsibilities and Key Learning Opportunities
- Responsible for all alcohol served
- Follows company policies and procedures regarding alcohol service and sales
- Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned
- Upsell current promotions with suggestive selling
- Keep bar area clean, stocked, and organized
- Decline service to guest with no proper identification
- Prepare mixed alcoholic beverages following strict recipes
Skills/Qualification/Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Obtain and maintain Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission server/seller's certification
- Obtain and maintain Safe Food Handlers certification
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Works well with others
- Must be proficient in basic mathematics
- General knowledge of cocktail recipes
- General knowledge of bar setup and bar sanitation
- This position requires standing, walking, crouching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, lifting, and pushing- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move and position stock and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work both inside and outdoors in varying climates
- Multiple interviews required
