Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Clerk performs the day-to-day operations in the accounting department. This position offers a unique opportunity for growth and learning, as it requires coordination of all aspects of the credit union's accounting functions, including the general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
· While reporting to the Controller, the role is to ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close.
- Creates Monthly reports
- Reviews journal entries into various accounts continuously for accuracy and completeness.
· Reconciling general ledger accounts, researching the cause of discrepancies, and making general ledger entries to correct mistakes.
· Systems utilized include accounting and core systems, monitoring the impact on daily operations.
- Performs ad hoc general ledger and accounting projects and analysis for credit union management.
- Identify and help resolve general ledger balance variances.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager(s).

- Cash Management Reporting
- Backing up on Accounts payable and receivables
- Fixed asset and investment accounting
- Balance various suspense accounts in the General Ledger

· Possesses the ability to work within a quick-paced environment against strict time constraints; accept new and changing responsibilities and adapt appropriately.
Minimum Requirements
· At least two years of progressively more responsible experience within a financial services organization, which has provided an opportunity to gain the necessary experience and background knowledge to help direct the accounting department.
· Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
