The Parts Manager will assist in leading a team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional service for our customers. He or she will plan, train, lead, and monitor the performance of your respected departments, to promote customer satisfaction and revenue growth in line with targeted business and financial objectives. This Parts Manager must have strong leadership qualities to organize and motivate a team and to hold each team member accountable for outstanding performance on a daily basis.
Manager’s primary objectives are to run a profitable Parts Department, provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction to all parts customers. This position will help monitor all daily processes that include customer sales, internal parts sales, inventory control, parts purchasing, vendor relations, special orders, monthly/quarterly inventory, and pricing, will ensure that both the parts back counter and front counter areas are maintained in an organized and neat manner.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
- Establish and adjust process to ensure parts are charged out on RO’s.
- Assists in the timely return of Cores, Warranty Parts & Obsolete Parts to all vendors for all locations.
- Maintains reporting systems as required by Corporate Parts Manager.
- Remains current on all new products, product updates and communicates information to other staff members.
- Develops vendor relationship parts sales opportunities
- Monitors a training program that ensures the parts personnel comply with OEM requirements.
- Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
- Monitor and adjusts inventory
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
- Supervise stock order procedures
- Work closely with service manager and body shop manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
- Provides technical assistance when necessary
- Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Enforce safety requirements
MUST HAVE:
- At least 2 years experience in parts management
- Technical automotive knowledge
- Management experience and skills
- Computer literacy, (CDK experience, or parts management system a PLUS)
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of inventory and reporting
- Inventory management
- Purchasing and negotiation skills
- Mechanical knowledge in automotive parts
- Data entry proficiency
- Customer service experience
- Logistics and procurement expertise
- Sourcing abilities

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
