Landscape Maintenance Account Manager

Position Summary: The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager assumes the primary responsibility for exceeding the expectations of our clients and running & organizing their assigned crews for maximum efficiency. This position will include managing our largest customer across different properties. The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager also is the link between the company and Landscape Maintenance clients. Your responsibilities will include managing the work schedule and overall quality of landscape maintenance field operations; supervising and training assigned landscape maintenance crews. The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager is also in charge of company safety as well as our legal compliance with state and federal laws as they apply to fertilizer and pesticides applications. Summary of Specific Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
I. Landscape Maintenance Operations
- Day to day management of assigned residential & commercial landscape maintenance accounts.
- Maintains all company standards and ensures quality at all levels.
- Maintain relationship with clients as primary contact for all landscape management activities.
- Maintain relationship with key vendors to ensure prompt service and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate all Fertilizer/Pesticide application and maintain the chemical usage logs so that the company stays in compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Coordinate all Irrigation operations and repairs to keep properties in peak appearance year round.
- Coordinate snow removal operations
- All other duties as assigned.
II. Equipment Care
- Increases lifespan of equipment through good asset management.
- Ensure that our fleet is kept clean to represent a well-managed company.
- Ensures that teams are accountable for equipment and held responsible for losses.
- Ensures all assigned landscape maintenance crews have operational knowledge of equipment to prevent misuse/breakage.
- Train crews on use of equipment.
- Provide input into equipment and truck needs to management as the company expands.
- With the help of a mechanic/vendor evaluate existing equipment and recommend replacement as needed.
III. Estimating/Sales
- Provides data for maintenance proposals and pricing.
- Monitor contracts and propose additional basic services.
- Develop existing client base so to expand the current contracts as well as develop new contracts for additional properties.
- Develop new customers based on the approved company profiles to unsure customer satisfaction and increase sales potential.
IV. Job Costing of Accounts & Quality Control.
- Monitors operational performance of all landscape management crews.
- Ensures financial contract compliance.
- Inspects properties to ensure 1st class quality and curb appeal.
- Ensure that all maintenance follows our standards.
- Guide and manage the implementation of new quality control procedures based on experience.
- Ensure that the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS satisfied.
- Scheduling and routing in an efficient manner.
V. Personnel
- Recruit and assists in hiring and develop of operational team.
- Maintains standards of performance and initiate periodic evaluations of team members.
- Ensure that all team members are performing job safely.
- Ensure all Landscape Maintenance team members fully understand and express in all of their actions and interactions the “Opie’s Way”.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- BS Degree (or equivalent) or 4+ years’ experience in landscape/grounds maintenance preferred.
- 2 years or more of experience in a management position in landscape/grounds maintenance.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and two-wire irrigation systems.
- Strong communication skills – English verbal, written and reading comprehension.
- Ability to develop strong client and employee relationships.
- Hands on approach to task management, employee and customer interaction.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Responsive to client's needs and requests – build customer rapport.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel and Email.
- Arkansas or Missouri driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Proven leadership abilities with organized and structured approach to crew supervision.
- Responsive with positive attitude and initiative, team oriented, and strong role model.
- Accomplished verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible in working in a changing management work environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Available to work a varied schedule (including weekends) in sometimes adverse weather.
- Stoop, stand and bend for 10 hours or more a day.
- Basic understand of equipment maintenance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
