Job Description:
Cooks are responsible for daily preparation and service during meal times on a lunch and dinner menu. Tasks include occasional interaction with customers, preparation, packaging, and display of food items, to include flatbreads, sandwiches, sauces, salads, and other menu items.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Ability to lift 50+ Lbs. Regularly
· Basic knowledge of mathematic operations as they apply to recipe sizing, formulation, and scaling of ingredients
· Knowledge of basic cooking skills, knife skills, and sanitation requirements
· Washing dishes
· Taking care of the daily trash
· Communication skills with the ability to speak fluent English to customers and staff in a positive manner
· High energy with the ability to move quickly in a busy environment indoors and outdoors
· Ability to work in warm environments for extended periods of time
· High attention to detail to ensure cleanliness of work area and display areas
· Ability to follow and execute tasks according to company policy
· Ability to work independently and as a team member, and to make rational decisions as needed
· Required to be SafeStaff or ServSafe Food Handler certified
