Bear Valley Community Healthcare District has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). This position is located at the District's Family Health Center although open to hybrid opportunity.
Sign on bonus being offered $5,000 - $2,500 after a 90 day probationary period and $2,500 after one year of successful employment.
POSITION SUMMARY
The clinical therapist shall work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to provide evaluation and management for patients with behavioral/mental/social needs. This position will help serve a spectrum of mental health needs through various programs targeting populations of all ages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide direct care to patients through ongoing behavioral assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Enhance the quality of patient management and satisfaction through support and collaboration with various internal and external programs/organizations.
- All other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
- Licensed in the State of California as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Marriage Family Therapist (MFT) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
- BLS within 6 months of hire

Minimum Experience Required
- Must be credential to practice within scope at Bear Valley Community Healthcare District
Experience Preferred
- One-year experience working in an outpatient clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR system or ability to learn and use the district Electronic Medical Record system

- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to use communication skills to enhance learning through motivation, associations and repetition.
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the health care team.
- Must be able to withstand stressful situations.
- Critical thinking skills
- Good clinical understanding of adult mental health, diagnosis in the DSM IV-TR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
- Bilingual preferred
