RN's needed for local schools in Flint, Michigan
This is an opportunity to do important work for students and families in an at-risk community still affected by the Flint Water Crisis.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, experienced professional who love taking care of children and prioritizes communication and engagement. The position requires administrative work as well as one-on-one time with students, and we are looking for an individual who truly cares about making school a better place for students.
- Monday - Friday, no weekends
- Hours vary from 7:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am- 4:00pm (Depending on what school you work at)
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Screen and evaluate students
- Monitor and dispense prescription medications based on instructions from parents and physicians
- Educate students on hand washing, germs and other health care and safety issues
- Maintain files on each student's health and medical history
- Examine and authenticate vaccination records
- Work as a team with other nurses and social workers to develop and manage school health and wellness program
- Other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical environment
- BLS Certification
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
