As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be part of the Americas team providing support and services in implementing Pure products. Your goal is to enable our customers and our delivery partners by advising on best practices with host integration and perform knowledge transfer on Pure software to perform day to day storage functions. You will contribute to the Pure evergreen
storage business model by ensuring the hardware implementations and upgrades are online and seamless.
This team is often the first to implement new features in the field. We work closely with Product Management and Support to validate the process, training, and procedures. Our responsibilities include providing valuable feedback that would positively impact quality.
AS A QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER, YOU CAN EXPECT TO HAVE THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform pre-work, installations, and upgrades of Pure products.
- Partner with support and other Professional Services team members to ensure successful projects.
- Analyze existing customers Pure products to ensure that it’s ready to be upgraded mitigating potential issues.
- Design and create detailed plans of action to ensure all site visits and incremental changes are implemented in non-disruptive upgrades.
- Customer communication notifying them of potential risks prior to installation and upgrade.
- Coordinate with internal Coordination, Account, and support teams to create cases.
- Maintain updates to the Pure Engagement Requests (PER) queue as required.
- Other responsibilities as required.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU’LL NEED EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
- Strong technical skills in the areas of storage, server and networking technologies.
- Experience with Pure Storage products (a plus.)
- Experience with virtualization and operating systems.
- Exemplary time and resource management skills in addition to handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities (collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.)
- Familiar with business application products such as Google suite or Microsoft suite.
- Experience with Linux based CLI and python (a plus).
THE IDEAL PERSON FOR FILL THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
- 2+ years of hardware installation and software configuration experience.
- 2+ years working knowledge of data center operations.
- Degree in Computer Science or related subject or equivalent work experience
