Pharmacy Technician III
Full-Time, First Shift
Assists the Pharmacists in the performance of routine duties in the practice of hospital pharmacy. This job includes order processing, inventory control, and quality assessment and improvement in pharmacy operations in accordance with accredited hospital operations in accordance with accredited hospital policies and procedures, ethical and professional practices, Joint Commission standards and State and Federal requirements
Description:
- Accurately and efficiently processes and fills medication orders.
- Delivers medications from pharmacy to nursing units; returns items from nursing units as needed.
- Wholesale order processed and received correctly.
- Demonstrates leadership skills and critical thinking skills.
- Provides general assistance to pharmacist staff.
- Illustrates working knowledge of technology.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- National Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
- Required Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician
- Registration as a Pharmacy Intern by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy satisfies PTCB certification and Technician registration requirements.
