Bowen Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a recovery setting. This position guarantees 40 hours per week, offering stability and a supportive environment for professional growth.
- Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing routine assessments.
- Treatment Administration: Assist in the implementation of patient treatment plans, including wound care, IV therapy, and other medical procedures as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team, ensuring timely intervention and care adjustments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication administration logs.
- Support and Education: Educate patients and their families about ongoing health care needs, recovery processes, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices are in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Licensure: Valid and current LPN license in the state.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in recovery, rehabilitation, or a similar environment.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in patient assessments, medication administration, and basic nursing procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Compassion: A caring and empathetic approach to patient care, with a genuine interest in supporting patients through their recovery journey.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and transferring patients.
- Experience: Experience in addiction recovery or mental health care.
- Certifications: Additional certifications in IV therapy, wound care, or related areas.
- Technology: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
