Revv Aviation is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team and assist in the oversight of general accounting operations, including controlling and validating our financial transactions.
Primary responsibilities for the Staff Accountant will include maintaining the general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our accounting processes. The role will focus on the integrity of statutory/GAAP compliant financial data through the establishment of effective internal accounting controls, and documentation of policies and procedures. The Staff Accountant will facilitate the delivery of increasingly automated financial reports and metrics, ensure robust auditable account reconciliations, and support year-end audit preparation, taxes, statutory/GAAP research, and other projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce error-free accounting journal entries, transactions, and reports.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Provide technical support and look for ways to improve efficiency.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures and researching emerging accounting statutory/GAAP issues that relate to the company.
- Supply reporting to other departments.
- Key participant in month-end and year-end close process
- Strengthen internal controls
- Provide technical support, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles
- Strengthen the automation of published metrics and financial reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by preparing account reconciliations and documents.

Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience researching and documenting adopted positions a plus.
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality quality, timely results with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and proficient skills in Word and PowerPoint.
