Amerilodge Group is a rapidly growing hospitality company with hotels throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Our construction partner, Harbaugh Construction, is seeking a Full-Time Senior Architect to join our team. We currently have over 30 hotels throughout our portfolio and 7 under construction, with projected openings between 2023 and 2024.

General Summary
The right candidate will have strong visual awareness and an eye for detail. The right candidate must be able to stamp and seal. In addition, the following skills will be beneficial:
- Design Skills, including Planning, Site Development, and innovation
- Excellent Customer Service Skills including: Negotiation, Building Client Relationships, and Supervision
- Technical skills including: Drafting, CAD, AutoCAD, ability to work in 3D
- Be passionate about buildings and the finished product
Education/Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Architecture is preferred, along with proven experience in the field. Previous experience in the hospitality field or construction is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Must have the ability to speak, understand, read and write the English language.
- Must be able to multi-task effectively in a busy office and public atmosphere.
- Must have the ability to apply appropriate resolution to stressful situations.
- Must read and understand the Employee Handbook.
- Must be able to follow policy and perform to enhance professionalism in appearance and behavior.
- Must be able to perform basic computer skills (including Excel, Word, and E-Mail).
- Must be capable of performing all hourly functions and operating all equipment in hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Determines scope of projects by identifying construction or renovation requirements, including style and material preferences.
- Obtains initial approvals by developing concept; presenting sketches and models.
- Plans projects by designing structure, layout, and specifications; developing budget and timetables; obtaining approvals from city planners and other departments; making adjustments as needed.
- Supervises construction by selecting and supervising contractors; monitoring construction results as compared to drawings and specifications; solving design/construction problems.
- Provides project information by collecting and summarizing data.
- Updates professional knowledge by maintaining licensure; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Other duties, as assigned
