A local Mechanical Shop is seeking a Shop Millwright that’s responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a workshop or manufacturing setting. The role requires a combination of mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
· MUST have 5+ years SHOP Millwright Experience

Job Description
- Installation and Setup:
- Install, align, and set up machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate installation.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, replacing or repairing defective parts as necessary.
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Fabrication and Assembly:
- Fabricate and assemble mechanical components and systems according to blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use welding, machining, and other fabrication techniques to create or modify parts.
- Technical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure machinery and equipment meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Provide training and guidance to junior millwrights and apprentices.
Work Environment
- Workshop or manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- May require working in confined spaces or at heights.
- Around 15-20 warehouse employees
Schedule
Monday– Friday, must be available to work weekends.
5:00am – 1:00pm, must be available to work 12-hour shifts
Hourly Rate (MUST have SHOP Millwright experience to meet hourly rate)
$40/hr. - $45/hr.
Days/Hours may vary depending on workload, must be able to work 12-hour shifts and weekends! They are working 7-12’s temporarily for the next few months.
