JOB SUMMARY
This production floor position is responsible for leading daily operations of the assigned department. The Team Leader leads the activities of other employees through technical knowledge, experience, and sound decision-making abilities to support product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe and clean working environment for yourself and others. This includes wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Continuously monitor the cleaning process of the metalizing equipment to ensure that the lines meets or exceeds production requirements.
- Leads day-to-day activities and communications within the department
- Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities and ensures the team is completing PMs/ cleaning in a timely manner.
- Prepares cleaning schedules according to the production.
- Performs machine changeovers from part-to-part/ job-to-job.
- Trains and develops departmental team and leads employees in Continuous Improvement Programs.
- Supervises work output and effectiveness for team members.
- Ensures accurate training of employees in proper job performance and expectations.
- Documents the progress of new employees and assists management in the 90-day evaluations for these employees.
- Observes the progress and performance of all assigned employees to assist the Production Manager in the evaluation of these employees; Makes recommendations based on performance.
- Tracks and posts daily departmental metrics as established by Plant Management.
- Ensures inventory of departmental PPE is adequate to perform regular production.
- Assists with any other duties and projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- One year prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have strong knowledge and experience completing preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Must be computer proficient and able to use Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Capable of working successfully independently or in a team environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice
- Ability to do shift work as necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Experience with pneumatic systems a plus.
