Job Description:
Operation of production equipment to support automated process equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operation of equipment used in Rewinder, Packing, Inspection & operation.
- Documented Training, with comprehension of all Work Instructions for Rewinder, Packing, Inspection
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes
- Cleaning of all machines and parts
- Label and handle hazardous waste according to all local, state, and federal regulations
- Basic routine maintenance of equipment including greasing machines
- Inspection of rolls using various pieces of measuring equipment
- Entering data into quality system
- Ability to assist in various process activities e.g., screen changes, die cleaning, die dismounts and extruder overhauls, etc.
· Commit to continual improvement of the environment through SSA’s suggestion program, protecting the environment and improving our environmental performance by supporting our environmental management system’s targets and objectives.
· Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations and relevant compliance obligations related to the environmental aspects of SSA.
· Comply with SSA’s Zero Emissions program.
· Agree to prevent injury incidents by observing established working rules, following the directions of managers/supervisors, practicing the principles taught in safety training and providing ideas so our safety management system is improved continuously.
· Comply with all federal, state, and local occupational health and safety laws, regulations and relevant compliance obligations related to the occupational health and safety aspects of SSA.
· Comply with all other relevant employment laws and regulations.

- HS Diploma or GED
- Consistent work experience (or active participation in educational program or volunteer work).
- Must maintain an SSA Walkie License in good standing.
- Basic understanding of machinery and how it functions.
- Understanding of safety practices in the workplace.
- Must be able to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction,
- multiplication and division of whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
- Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions, policies and procedures.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude. Some forklift experiences.
- Ability to solve problems using standard problem-solving methods
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with teams or as an individual.
- Ability to respond to multiple work pressures.
- Must be able to listen, understand, interpret, and solve problems.
- Has ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations, including measuring, addition, subtraction, division, percentages, and decimals.
