We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time dog trainer to build a territory through sales and marketing in the Myrtle Beach/Conway and surrounding areas. This position will grow into a full time position as you build your skills in sales and marketing. You can create a sense of ownership in this territory. No previous dog training experience? No problem! We’ll teach you everything you need to know to train dogs to a high level of obedience. If you have experience around dogs, that is great!
Minimum Requirements:
- Reside in or around the Myrtle Beach or Conway, SC areas
- Available for a full week of in-depth paid training from Tuesday, August 6 – Saturday, August 10, 2024
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable transportation
- Work weekends
- Smartphone required
- Reliable, honest, and passionate about dogs and their owners
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable being on camera for social media
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license, proof of insurance is required
- Good observation skills, good problem solving skills, and eagerness to learn
- Available to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Able to follow all policies and procedures
- Able to pass a rigorous training course and participate in on-going training and testing
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to be on time to client appointments, training, meetings, etc.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Work with dogs needing behavior modification, including anxiety and aggression (with training)
- Handle dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes
- Interact professionally with the public
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills (with dogs and humans)
- Attend and assist with events, shows, markets, etc., as needed
- Be self-motivated and an enthusiastic self-starter
- Identify problems and provide solutions
- Have patience with dogs and their owners
- Strong time management skills
- Be able to communicate and teach clients new skills
- Attend a working interview

Compensation:
- Pay: $16.00 per hour
- Commission pay after your probationary period and successful completion of additional training
- Expected hours: 10-20 hours per week
