Now hiring for a Front Desk Agent at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Olathe North!
16-24 hours per week. Two shifts from 7am-3pm each week with the possibility of an additional evening shift.
We are looking for looking for someone to join our team who is reliable, intelligent, kind, as well as someone who is considerate, a team player, and a problem solver.
The Front Desk team is responsible for checking guests in and out via the front desk system (Opera), creating and modifying reservations, answering telephones and transferring calls, following distinguished accounting procedures, running reports and utilizing the information provided in them, and most importantly, providing impeccable customer services to all of our guests.
Other duties include:
Completing and verifying all shift reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Communicate all pertinent shift information to supervising executive and other desk staff.
Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, reservations, attractions, directions, etc.
Must smile, acknowledge, and greet guests in a friendly manner at the front desk and other public areas.
Must be willing to work as a team player and assist other departments as need.
Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skill Requirements:
Must be able to operate basic office machines i.e. copier, fax, printer, etc.
Must possess moderate computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Internet, & Email.
Must display very good organization and time management skills; punctuality is extremely important.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
Must be able to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects.
Must be able to self-motivate and be able to handle an independent work environment.
Requires strong knowledge of the English language including speaking, reading and writing. Bilingual applicants are encouraged.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Lift/pull/push of 25 lbs. may be required.
