The ideal senior accountant will have a strong background in technical accounting, financial analysis, reconciliations and budgeting. The senior accountant will require expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and payroll management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Conduct monthly financial analysis to identify variances and trends
- Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
- Handle complex accounting projects and initiatives
- Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance as needed
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Knowledge of technical accounting standards and practices
- Experience with payroll processing and tax regulations
- Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills
- Knowledge of NetSuite software would be a strong plus.
