Purpose:
The purpose of the Inventory Specialist is to effectively manage all processes related to ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for daily business operations, including managing store to store transfers and disposing of waste/expired product. He/she will also engage in ancillary activities that support the overall business operations.
Requirements:

Has at least a high school diploma

Ability to work at least 32 hrs/wk (starting at 4:30am)

Valid driver’s license

Ability to lift at least 50lbs

Ability to climb at least 6ft using ladders

Understands basic tenets of inventory movement
Job Responsibilities:
Understand the daily needs of operations, from a supply and demand standpoint, to be able to effectively utilize the Suggested Ordering system to order appropriate number of items

Examine the supply levels on-hand, on a daily basis, to anticipate potential shortages
-
Communicate with BOH Director on upcoming events/anticipated sales increases that would require additional supplies
-
Receive daily deliveries, review for order accuracy and communicate with the supplier on discrepancies, damaged goods etc.

Ensure that all inventory items are appropriately stored and organized, and maintained in the defined travel path.

Understand and utilize FIFO for ensuring products are used in operation prior to expiration
-
Travel to suppliers to directly source inventory (as needed), in extenuating circumstances
-
Utilize a well defined inventory tracking system to optimize the flow and control of items
-
Utilize Inform (and other tools) for reports on inventory operations, supply levels and adjustments
-
Analyze approved CFA suppliers (if applicable) to obtain the most cost-effective alternatives

Conduct monthly inventory count and periodic spot checks throughout the month
Assist with the general upkeep and maintenance of the restaurant facilities including, but not limited to:

Regular pressuring washing of the parking lot, sidewalks and building

Daily cleaning and maintenance of machine filters
-
Regular cleaning and replacement of restaurant air filters
-
Replacement of bulbs in and around the restaurant, as needed
-
Utilize BOH checklist (Jolt) to regularly clean and maintain BOH equipment
