Your Role:
We are seeking dynamic and driven Business Development Specialists to join our team. This role will focus on driving sales growth and expanding our market presence within a designated territory in North America. The primary responsibility will be to identify and develop new business opportunities for our range of critical raw materials, with a particular emphasis on nitrocellulose membranes used in lateral flow immunoassays.
Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities for nitrocellulose membrane and other critical raw materials (e.g., blocking reagents, antibodies, buffers, detergents, stabilizing sugars) within the lateral flow immunoassay manufacturing sector.

Market Expansion: Strategically target market segments including human infectious disease assays, veterinary diagnostics, drugs of abuse testing, food and environmental testing to increase market share and drive growth.

Territory Management: Manage and develop relationships within a set regional territory, engaging with current and potential lateral flow assay manufacturers.

Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to achieve growth targets for all critical raw materials, with a specific focus on nitrocellulose membrane sales.

Digital Tools Utilization: Employ digital tools such as gap analysis and market intelligence to identify prospects, generate opportunities, and build new relationships.

Market Insight: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market and competitor landscape, focusing on emerging trends and disruptive technologies in lateral flow assays.

Customer Feedback: Provide strategic input to the organization based on customer insights to guide business development strategies.
Who You Are:
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in sales development or business development within the life sciences or related industry.

Basic technical understanding of biology and/or chemistry.

Proven track record in sales development or business development.
-
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
-
Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region up to 50% of the time. Can sit anywhere in the US
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in a science discipline.

Prior sales experience with critical raw materials in diagnostic manufacturing environments.

In-depth knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay workflows.

Understanding of current and emerging point-of-need/care immunoassay technologies.

Strong understanding of lateral flow immunoassays and the associated market.

Demonstrated success in business/sales development.

Proficiency with digital tools and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
