Rebellion Bourbon Bar and Kitchen, located in Downtown Fredericksburg, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team and contribute to our commitment to exceptional gust service. As an AKM, you will pay a crucial role assisting the Kitchen Manager with leading daily operations of the kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for you to go to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Follow all BOH protocols to ensure consistency, including Line Checks, Time and Temperature Logs, and Health Department protocols.
- Create a safe and sanitary work environment that is compliant with all health department standards and protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients, and order as needed
- Assist with menu planning and contribute to the creation of new dishes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cook or relevant role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in menu planning and food ordering is a plus
