The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordination and management of patient care. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of clinical personnel to ensure that care and services are delivered appropriately.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Registered nurse with current licensure to practice nursing in the state
- Possess and maintain CPR certification
- Previous experience in home care setting with one year management or supervisory experience, Required
- Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order
- Prior use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - Required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of accepted professional standards and practice, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Demonstrates excellent observation, nursing judgment, and communication skills
Job Duties (but not limited to):
- Supervises clinical staff and ensures the quality of patient care under federal, state and local regulations and accreditation standards
- Monitors clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy and assures that it meets standards for good clinical documentation and successful billing
- Oversees the completion and implementation of Plan of Care
- Reviews and approves orders written by field staff providing correction as needed
- Ensures effective coordination of care with physicians, referral sources, interdisciplinary team, and other individuals as necessary
