PURPOSE:
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President of Global Supply Chain to join our executive team. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Operations, will drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of our global supply chain operations. The VP will ensure seamless integration across sourcing, materials management, logistics, delivery assurance, and digital supply chain resilience, all while maintaining stringent compliance standards and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management:
- Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy that aligns with FormFactor’s business objectives, focusing on Quality, delivery assurance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers, ensuring supply continuity, risk mitigation, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
- Lead negotiations with critical suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and strategic partnerships.
- Implement supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives to drive superior supply chain performance.
Delivery Assurance and Operational Excellence:
- Enhance supply chain agility through advanced planning systems, real-time analytics, and lean methodologies to meet dynamic customer demands.
- Drive initiatives to reduce lead times, improve on-time delivery performance, and optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams to align supply chain capabilities with business requirements.
- Oversee the global logistics network to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and products across FormFactor’s global operations.
Materials Management and Logistics:
- Lead the planning and execution of materials management strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimizing excess while avoiding stockouts.
- Be an active participant in the enterprise wide SIOP/IBP.
- Oversee the development and management of efficient logistics and warehousing operations, including distribution, transportation, and customs compliance.
- Implement advanced technologies and best practices in supply chain management to enhance visibility, traceability, and efficiency across the supply chain.
Digital Supply Chain Resilience:
- Champion the integration of digital technologies to build a resilient and responsive supply chain capable of adapting to disruptions and market changes.
- Leverage data analytics, AI, and IoT to optimize supply chain operations, enhance predictive capabilities, and enable proactive decision-making.
- Promote the adoption of digital tools to improve supply chain visibility, streamline processes, and enhance collaboration with suppliers and partners.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant international trade regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust risk management strategies to proactively address potential disruptions and vulnerabilities in the supply chain.
- Lead efforts to implement sustainable supply chain practices, aligning with FormFactor’s corporate social responsibility and ESG goals.
Customer Satisfaction and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer needs and expectations, translating these into actionable supply chain strategies.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services, on time and in full, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the supply chain organization, championing customer-centric initiatives.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the global supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team, nurturing talent and building capabilities to support FormFactor’s growth and operational goals.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional leaders to drive company-wide initiatives and achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within the semiconductor or high-tech industries (including aerospace and automotive).
- Proven track record of developing and executing global supply chain strategies that deliver measurable business results for Customer Satisfaction.
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, logistics, materials management, and delivery assurance, with a strong understanding of compliance and risk management.
- Desired experience in Engineered to Order, Config to order with a proven track record of successful delivery in a high-mix production setting.
- Demonstrated experience in integrating digital technologies to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse, global team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $250,000 and $325,000. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
