Medical Office Manager
Overview:
Join our healthcare team as a Medical Office Manager, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the administrative operations of our medical office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management and a passion for ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care services. Supervises the support staff and business office functions of the Chehalis Tribal Wellness Center. This includes management of Patient Access, Health Information Management (HIM), Billing and Accounts Receivable staff and functions. To utilize best practices and quality assurance models in the business office practice management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the medical office, including supervising staff, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize HIMS or Epic software to maintain electronic health records and streamline administrative processes.
- Ensure all staff are fully trained in and utilizing all appropriate software and RPMS applications.
- Oversee utilization management to optimize patient flow and resource allocation within the office.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to enhance office efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with billing and coding specialists to ensure accurate documentation and timely reimbursement.
Experience:
- Five (5) years proven experience in managing a medical office or healthcare facility.
- Proficiency in Medical terminology and understanding of medical office workflows.
- Familiarity with RPMS preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with nurses or other healthcare professionals is a plus.
- Prefer experience working in tribal communities.
