The Department of Surgery at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) and the James Comprehensive Cancer Center are recruiting an open-rank faculty member with a basic or translational science research focus in colorectal cancer. Expertise in oncogenesis, treatment resistance, microbial interactions, bioinformatics, drug discovery, or immunotherapy is a plus. Candidates are expected to have an established research program with a successful record of publications and extramural funding. The opportunity will take advantage of an extensive internal collaborative network of researchers in the University and Cancer Center and will benefit from clinical collaborations and access to human specimens.
Applicants must hold a PhD in an applicable field and have credentials to receive a faculty appointment at Ohio State University. This full-time position will be based at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The position offers the potential for growth and a competitive salary and benefits package. Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and are eligible for tenure or have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned under the workload guidelines in the administration pattern of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service, and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possess equivalent experience.
