JOB DESCRIPTION: The Education Manager will take on the day-to-day role of providing high quality, engaging, timely and relevant programs and education to the bleeding disorder community. The individual in this role will possess knowledge of health promotion models and strategies, curriculum development and delivery, and knowledge of evaluation methods for continuous improvement. They will also successfully demonstrate a servant attitude, work well as part of a team, manage multiple projects, possess a strong work ethic, demonstrate excellent communication, and analytical skills, and have high attention to detail. This is a remote position with mainly daytime business hours. Occasional evening hours may be needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, the Education Manager will carry out the duties required of the position. These include but are not limited to:
- Conduct ongoing needs’ assessments to determine education program priorities.
- Develop and deliver programs, educational content and materials, both in person and online, to a diverse bleeding disorders patient population about topics relevant to their disorder and general health.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and educational materials.
- Collect and analyze data to improve programs and services.
- Assist in increasing HFA’s visibility to access educational resources and the engagement of patients in HFA programs and activities.
- Advocate for improved health resources and policies that promote health.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of educational content of HFA’s annual Symposium and help to identify and source speakers.
- Perform other tasks as required.
KEY RESULTS:
- Ensure that HFA education is accurate and relevant to the needs of the community and aligns with HFA’s mission and purpose.
- Expand, update, and improve HFA’s educational offerings and programs.
- Increase the reach of HFA education and programs in the community and beyond.
- Evaluate program processes and success and lead continual improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study, i.e., Health Education, Public Health, Education
- One to three years proven successful experience in a similar role or related field
- Excellent oral, and written communication skills
- Comfortable and confidence in public speaking/teaching
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Excellent organizational and office administration skills
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Possess servant leader attitude and team player mentality
