Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Athletic Director, the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the direct development and implementation of performance training programs of college sports teams as assigned. The assistant strength coach will assist the head strength coach in the development and execution of the Corps Physical Fitness training program to elevate the readiness of the Corps of Cadets to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test. The assistant strength coach will oversee the daily operations of the Godfrey Athletic Center (GAC), NMMI’s student fitness center, under the guidance of the head strength coach.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited program (Master’s preferred)
- Two years of related experience
- CSCS or SCCC Certification
- Ability to demonstrate exercise and drill techniques
- Ability to teach and coach Olympic lift variations
- Ability to create and maintain safe and efficient training environments for all Cadets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
