Position Summary:
The Supportive Living Technician is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a supportive living residence, where residents are recovering from primary mental health and/or substance use disorders. The Supportive Living Technician ensures that the residence is a safe and supportive environment that promotes recovery and wellness.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a management role in a sober/supportive living house or a related setting is highly desirable.
- Must hold a valid California driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Triton House is a gender specific (Male only) supportive housing program located in San Diego, CA. The Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining an environment that is safe, comfortable and Secure for all client's
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Uphold and enforce the agency’s standards, policies and procedures, code of conduct, and rights of person’s served
2. Manage and supervise clients by enforcing program rules and guidelines, documenting notable behaviors and reporting rule violations.
3. Communicate effectively and develop rapport with clients while ensuring professional boundaries are maintained.
4. Conduct drug testing, which includes direct observation, collection and labeling of specimens, reviewing and reporting onsite test results and/or urine collection procedures for laboratory analysis, documentation, packaging and shipping.
5. Reinforce positive client behaviors, and encourage social interaction by conversing with them, participating in activities with them, etc.
6. Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships with clinical and administrative staff and supervisors.
7. Monitor and report client behavior to the leadership team. Immediately document and report critical incidents, behavioral incidents and errors to the Program Manager
8. Review House Rules with all new client's entering supportive living and ensure that clients are observing all house rules and curfews.
9. Report all health and safety hazards, facility safety or security concerns, or other problems to the Program Manager
10. Welcome and introduce new client to existing client's.
11. Observe client self-administration of medication and ensure medication compliance is adhered to and reported to the program manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
