Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist in processing invoices and payments
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with payroll processing and journal entries
- Utilize financial software and tools such as QuickBooks
- Support technical accounting tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations
Skills:
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Experience working as an accounting clerk or similar role
- Knowledge of journal entries, payroll procedures, and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with financial software, particularly QuickBooks
- Ability to handle account reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records
- Understanding of technical accounting concepts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
