JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:

Manage and develop staff members
-
Leader for monthly/quarterly/yearly bonus calculations

Ownership of various enterprise-wide accounting responsibilities and corporate functions

Facilitate audit requests and answering internal questions from business partners

Manage team through month end close, ensure deadlines are met, entries are accurate, etc.

Drive standardization of quality account reconciliations

Maintain and strengthen internal control framework

Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Encourage and implement efficiency gains

Leverage existing systems and future systems to enhance group’s productivity and efficiency
-
Partner effectively with legal, insurance, treasury and other departments to ensure all related activity is accurately recorded
- Take a leading role in various aspects of ad hoc management reporting and variance analysis
-
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close
-
Prepare, manage, and review appropriate JE’s and reconciliations are accurately recorded in the GL
-
Review and monitor all accounts including sub-ledger details and aging
-
Ensure existing procedures and controls are effective along with developing and implementing new internal controls and procedures as needed

Research accounting policies and ensure their compliance with US GAAP
Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting
-
Proven experience dealing with sensitive employee information
-
6 years of relevant experience (Public Accounting, Industry or mix), including experience at companies with global operations

Certified Public Accountant is preferred, but not required
-
Must be able to manage daily and month-end workflows meet month-, quarter- and year-end accounting and reporting requirements

Experience with Oracle ERP modules is plus, but not required

Self-Starter, skilled in diagnosing and coming up with solutions to problems

Advanced in Microsoft Office applications
