Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Forklift/Lift Operator operates forklifts to move/load/stow palletized raw materials and finished goods, or palletized equipment, within the plant; also, operates a scissor lift for the purpose of accessing elevated production machinery, ductwork, plumbing, etc.
- Conducts routine pallet movements during normal production operations, loading of trucks, and storing/retrieving pallets in the freezer racking system.
- Utilizes SOPs/best practices to exercise caution ensuring safe operation, as certified.
- Maintains operational currency as required by SOPs/best practices and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must be qualified/certified to operate a forklift. Inventory logistics/maintenance experience is desired.
Preferred Skills
General clerical/recordkeeping skills with accuracy, attention to detail are desired.
