Nurse Manager - Johnson City
The Role:
The Lourdes Health and Fitness facility is looking for a full-time Nurse Manager. We expect the person in this position to partner with the General Manager to build and train the Nursing department.
Lourdes Health and Fitness Center, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Lourdes Hospital, requires all members of its workforce to be COVID-19 vaccinated. The primary duties of the Nurse Manager include, but are not limited to:
· Perform nursing assessments on new members and re-evaluations assessments on existing members
· Selects, schedules, assigns, and evaluates staff, adjusting hours and shifts as necessary.
· Pull Files for the next day or days and ensure all of the information is entered into the computer correctly, highlight information needed.
· Enter New member (ParQ) into the computer and create folders according to Diagnosis/Medical issues
· Obtain medical release forms from appropriate members as needed and fax to MD, once medical clearance is received, document in the computer and staple to back of members file. Notify member of any restrictions
· Respond to codes during shift and handle according to incident severity
· Orients new staff and assures that training and education needs of staff are met.
· Coordinates unit or clinic activities and the work assignments of staff members.
· Evaluates activities of unit or clinic to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
· Directs the nursing assessment of all patients.
· Develops, implements, and evaluates unit or clinic policies, goals, and objectives.
· Participates in the development and modifications of the department
· Markets services of the nursing program.
· Interprets and enforces department and institution policies.
· Directs preparation and maintenance of patients' clinical records.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
· Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Registered Nurse (RN); CPR and AED Certified
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
