Position: Assembly Technician
Job Description:
Assembling custom light fixtures, ensuring a quality build. Contribute throughout production, and ensure that orders are built completely. Quality control, inventory, and other parts of the assembly process since we are a small team. A small motivated team--- join and contribute your skills and spirit to add to this great workplace.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility: Assemble light fixtures
Other responsibilities include light fabrication, labor and contributing to the organization of our factory.
Aid our Manufacturing Engineer in developing best practices for our factory, share your perspective on new tool purchases and work station design.
Mentor and teach less experienced team members.
Alert Production Coordinator and Manufacturing Engineer to any bottlenecks in the operation.
Fill in hands-on gaps in the growing business.
Contribute ideas to most efficient production, order of operations in the sewn construction.
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test complete fixtures, other quality checks
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Cutting wire, extrusions, light fabrication duties
Recycling and chipping felt scrap for reuse, we have zero felt waste.
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs
Many other minor responsibilities we share as a team
Skills
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment,
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina, adaptability
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of production procedures and quality control.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
Requirements:
4+ years in manufacturing production
Organized, diligent work ethic.
Measure twice, cut once mentality.
Bilingual Spanish-English is a plus

Schedule:
Full time 7-4 or earlier hours may be available in near future.
