Spero Health is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our awesome team in Brentwood, TN!
This position is for a Credentialing Specialist who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Credentialing Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Completes and submits provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications to payors and follows up to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Reviews payors’ provider directories to ensure accurate information.

Maintains copies of current provider state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.

Learns new payor requirements and incorporates them into the process

Ensures new and existing clinic addresses are current with payors, state agencies, and other entities as needed.

Prepares various documents necessary to support new and updated payor contracts.

Submits clinic license applications to state contacts and follows up to ensure timely processing.

Submits CLIA applications for clinics to CMS and follows up to ensure timely processing.

Updates credentialing software system to ensure accurate credentialing information is maintained.

Optimizes the use of credentialing software system to drive efficiency and accuracy of credentialing process.

Shares provider credentialing exceptions with billing department leaders as needed.

Responds to inquiries from payors and internal customers regarding credentialing and contracting issues.

Requirements:
EDUCATION:

High School Diploma/GED required
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:

Healthcare administration support or revenue cycle experience preferred
