SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Executes administrative and technical member services associated with member accounts. Serves as liaison between the member and the Credit Union. Provides a variety of transaction services to members. Serves as a training resource for the retail service team, and provide guidance as-needed. Support branch management on credit union initiatives and service goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist in training retail staff on credit union products/services; review policies/procedures related to the branch function and communicate changes; provide support to the member services team by answering questions and providing guidance as appropriate for the position; make recommendations to retail management on training opportunities.

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of IRA products/services offered by the credit union; seek ongoing training in order to remain compliant with IRS changes; provide training support to the retail team as-needed; ensure adequate supply of printed collateral.

Promote small business banking services to potential or existing members; seek new business relationships. Open/close small business accounts; perform maintenance changes to existing accounts; answer member questions and resolve account-related problems. Seek additional training as-needed to remain compliant.

Support credit union member relations through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.

Promote and demonstrate electronic account information delivery systems to new members.

Research and resolve member questions, problems and concerns by way of telephone, written correspondence or in person.

Handles the opening/closing of consumer accounts, CDs, IRAs, safe deposit boxes, etc.

Execute Chex Systems and OFAC inquiries.

Process stop-payments on member checks.

Process check orders, and print starter checks.

Cross-sell to members all available credit union services that satisfies member needs (ex. share draft accounts; e-statements; safe deposit boxes, etc.).

Utilize pre-approval platform in order to promote and cross-sell loan products and services.

Knowledge of all functions of a teller to assist the teller line as-needed, including end of day procedures.

Adhere to all branch security procedures.

Attend NBCU meetings and training, as required.

Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act including Member Identification Program for new members, accurate completion of new account activity profile, identifying high risk accounts at account opening, and reporting suspicious activities to supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school graduate or GED.
-
Minimum of two (2) years cash-handling experience is required.

Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is required.

Prior experience working in banking or finance is preferred, but not required.

Prior teller experience is preferred, but not required.

Basic skills related to Microsoft Office applications.
