Innovative Construction Solutions (ICS) is an environmental remediation and heavy civil contractor with Hazardous Waste certifications, licensed in the State of California. We service the entire state of California out of offices in Costa Mesa and Concord. ICS owns and operates a large fleet of specialty and heavy equipment. ICS provides soil and groundwater remediation, geotechnical and specialty civil construction, facility closure and demolition services throughout California.
ICS is seeking a qualified Foreman or Superintendent to support and drive projects to completion and administer the efforts of required subcontractors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Understanding project schedule and assist with achieving project milestones.
- Leading and Management of the on-site ICS Team and Sub Contractors.
- Coordinating and overseeing all site work with safety-first attitude.
- Managing construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety codes.
- Creating and enforcing employee schedules and construction timelines.
- Documenting all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed the construction budget.
- Updating clients on construction progress through daily updates/reporting and client meetings.
- Consulting blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your team.
- Ensuring on-site Safety compliance.
- Determining and scheduling appropriate heavy equipment to perform scope of work.
- Placing orders for materials and supplies needed.
- Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and all repairs needed are reported.
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as Daily Field Reports and critical work permits.
- Monitoring and communicating project schedule with Project Managers.
- Monitoring daily housekeeping along with SWPPP compliance.
- QA/QC all disposal materials leaving the project site, including manifests.
- Communicating any changed conditions or possible change orders with Project Managers ASAP.
- Communicating any downtime to the Project Managers.
- Mentoring ICS team members for career growth program.
- Resolving on-site issues and emergencies.
- Client relationship building and engaging for future projects.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and any additional education a plus.
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation, clean driving record.
- 40-Hr HAZWOPER or current 8-hr HAZWOPER Refresher Certification (can be provided by the Company).
- Adhere to all company safety standards/policies and applicable OSHA regulations.
- Thorough understanding and enforcement of the ICS Health and Safety program a must.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
Skills:
- Strategize with Project Management team to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Effective communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to drive a project schedule.
- Understand construction means and methods with a detail orientated approach.
- Ability to read and interpret Plans, Drawings, and Specifications.
- Familiarity with all types of heavy equipment, and ability to operate heavy equipment if/as needed.
- Understanding of grading and grade checking/setting using a laser.
- Understanding of PVC/HDPE piping a plus.
- Knowledge and use of a smart phone, tablet, email, and various online platforms for communication and daily documentation.
- Focused on internal and external customer service.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
Experience:
- Trenching, excavation, mass grading, plumbing/piping, and/or environmental remediation.
- Bilingual experience a plus.
- Minimum 5 Years experience in general construction with emphasis on excavation and grading.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
