JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant – Human Resources
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Human Resources
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant – Human Resources performs general office and secretarial duties to include receptionist duties as assigned. Answers all in-coming telephone calls, greets and handles visitor inquiries, maintains files. Supports the human resource department through accurate data entry, clerical record keeping, photocopying, scanning and filing including but not limited to: scheduling meetings and interviews, completing reference checks, creating documents for newly hired staff; creating, distributing and mailing correspondence, tracking hours worked for relief/per-diem staff, ordering supplies, and assisting with audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Three (3) years of experience
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
AAS Degree or Certified in Secretarial Sciences from an accredited program
One (1) year of experience
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy
Ability to work outside normal business hours when needed to meet agency needs
Ability to maintain confidentiality of private information
Ability to work effectively and independently including address multiple tasks efficiently
Possesses strong organizational, analytical and creative thinking skills
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing including developing rapport with the people we serve
Ability to represent self and agency in a professional manner
SALARY:
$18 per hour starting rate
