These positions require a dedication to teaching and a passion for working in a dynamic community college setting with the ability to successfully interact and respond to the ever-changing needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting. At the Arkansas State University Three Rivers, adjunct faculty instructors are an integral part of the college community and as such are entrusted with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for College students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty report directly to the coordinator of adjunct instructors for guidance and instruction-related duties and responsibilities in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: A Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline taught is required for college transferable courses. The successful candidate will possess the competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring necessary skills, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings. The ability to utilize web-based educational technology is expected. The successful candidate should also possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
