Histology is the branch of biology which studies the microscopic structure of biological tissue. Histology technologists prepare very thin slices of human tissue and stain the tissue sections so that the pathologists can analyze those sections through a microscope. Histology technologists play a crucial role in allowing medical professionals to determine the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses/diseases.
