As we continue to expand, we are seeking a seasoned and motivated Preconstruction Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in our ongoing success.
Position Overview: In this role you will work with the project estimators and support them in their day-to-day task during the preconstruction/bidding process. The assistant is to communicate (phone calls/emails), and track interested subcontractors for each bidding project and issue addendums and notes as they are received. This role will be an office-based role at our headquarters in Rockville, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages responses to emails from subcontractors.
- Reach out to subcontractor via phone and email.
- List project on estimating websites.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and material/equipment suppliers.
- Attend subcontractor networking events.
- Cold Calling sub-contractors with 100+ phone calls daily.
- Ability to be a self-starter and also work within a team environment.
- No construction experience is required for this role.
- General administrative duties (as assigned).
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft suite (excel and word specifically) and willing to learn additional computer softwares.
- Ability to be a team member, and work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate and perform in all situations.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work time commensurate with workload.
- Willing to learn and positive attitude.
