Salary Industrial Hygienist project manager position available. Staff will manage and complete miscellaneous industrial hygiene projects with a focus on Oil & Gas Sector. This position is responsible for productivity and profitability, it requires field work (Oil & Gas and Commercial (Building Science) Sectors) as well as supervising work completed by current staff hygienists. Work under the direction of a CIH and manage work with some of our regional clients as well as be responsible for business development in Houston/Beaumont Area.
3-5+ years’ experience required
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with Department Manager on existing Client Projects.
- Knowledge and experience with multiple aspects of Industrial Hygiene and Health & Safety.
- Perform and manage various Industrial Hygiene services to include, but not limited to project scopes for: worker exposure monitoring, noise, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, and lead.
- Perform and collect field measurements using a variety of monitoring and sampling equipment.
- Maintain thorough and legible field notes.
- Develop technical reports, and present findings and recommendation.
- Manage project budgets.
- Communicate effectively with ATLAS Department Manager, staff, clients and contractors.
- Develop budgets and write proposals. Assist with business development.
- Follow ATLAS directives and standards.
- Other projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5+ years’ experience required
- Valid driver’s license
- Houston Area Safety Council – Basic Plus
- Minimum of three years’ experience of technically sound consulting experience conducting and managing industrial hygiene projects
- Ability to perform field work.
- Occupational Exposure Monitoring Experience, Noise Monitoring Experience
- Proficient in project management and personnel management
- Familiar with EHS Software Management System Cority
Technical Requirements:
- Strong technical writing skills
- Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL
- Strong background in IH related practices.
- Knowledge with various IH related sampling equipment and protocols
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow project directions accurately
- Willingness to receive guidance and mentoring to grow
- Ability to travel, some overnight
