Primary Function:
To assure raw and manufactured material meets the customer and GOEX standards and specifications. Conduct First Piece, In Process and Final Inspections according to QA Job Plans. Conduct incoming inspections. Coordinate HOLD process as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Incoming, First Piece, In Process, and Final Inspections according to documented procedures, instructions and QA Job Plans.
- Verify that OGS and In Process inspections are being conducted and documented per procedures, instructions, and QA Job Plans. Communicate with Supervisors where issues are found.
- Using various gauges and equipment, conduct inspections and accurately record results on various electronic and hard copy records.
- Conduct visual assessment of plastic sheet and roll stock using training and experience to determine whether material is acceptable or should be put on hold.
- Complete customer specific testing and measurement.
- Using various forms, conduct and document incoming inspections both inside and outside the facility.
- Complete investigations, testing and analysis with direction for QA Administration.
- Complete calibrations on various equipment and assure that equipment being used is in proper working order and calibrated.
LAB
- Complete standard and customer specific testing and measurement using various gauges and lab equipment.
Reporting and Documentation
- Accurately document inspections using both hard copy and electronic methods.
- Accurately file various documents and inspection records.
- Skilled at finding mistakes in documentation or results. Notify Supervisors so that corrections can be made and causes of error resolved.
Administration and Maintenance
- Coordinate the HOLD process. Assure product on HOLD is properly isolated.
- Assist in the rotation and cleanup of inspection records, targets and other paperwork and records.
- Keep Inspection and Lab areas clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with strict or tight tolerances.
- A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent.
- Good mechanical and math skills.
- Word processing/ computer data entry skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented. Ability to detect errors in other people’s work.
- Problem solving skills.
- High degree of initiative and drive.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to identify potential issues and work with Supervisors to coordinate resolution.
- 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision, cannot be colorblind.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Over night shift 5:50 pm - 6 am
- 2x2x3 schedule
Previous experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person.
