Responsible for the identification and procurement of competitive grants from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Coordinate fundraising/friendraising efforts, attend community awareness events, and assist in all aspects of marketing.
Manage the grant process from application through reporting. Plan project development and timeline, monitor grant implementation and expenditures, provide all necessary reports to grant funders.
Manage all fundraising/friendraising events. Experience planning virtual, hybrid, and in-person fundraising/friendraising events for 100+ attendees required.
Create donor database and maintain its accuracy. Work with local schools and businesses for donor partnerships and volunteers. Take initiative and follow through with tasks.
Assist in creating marketing material for community engagement and social media.
Assist the Chief Executive Officer with other projects.
Candidate must have a positive spirit working well with all team members, contagious, positive energy, take pride in work, and the ability to engage with a variety of individuals.
Knowledge of homelessness, addiction, and mental health is helpful.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required. Time management and organization are crucial. Must have the ability to write persuasively and passionately about homelessness, addiction, and mental health awareness and endeavors. Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and managing multiple projects with patience and professionalism. Handle stressful situations with ease. Must possess the desire to work independently and with a team and the possess the ability to generate creative ideas and solutions.
During event times must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
Degree in marketing, event planning, public relations, or business is preferred. A minimum of three years grant writing and community development experience is preferred.
Valid drivers license required. This is not an inclusive list of responsibilities and requirements.
